Recently a gentleman called Steven Burgess got in touch with us as he had an idea how to support Sutton Night Watch with his employer.
Founded in 1790, D. R. Harris are specialists in soaps, shaving and skincare. The range consists of over 400 products made in Britain.
For over 200 years, DR Harris have been offering outstanding levels of service at their traditional Chemists’ shop at 29 St. James’s Street in London. Their fine selection of soaps, shaving creams and soaps, aftershaves and colognes, skincare products and much more, are also now available online (CLICK HERE).
Even though they are based in london, their warehouse is in Mitcham in Surrey which is very close to Sutton Night Watch & the aforementioned gentleman, Steven, saw a way to support us by supplying us with goods that were being replaced, sometimes by other items, sometimes with new packaging.
Our first delivery came this week, and we could not have been more pleased.
Thanks to this great idea, we now have luxury shaving creams (lavender & rose) and some beautiful soaps for our service users to utilise when they are spending time with us at our shelter.
We are eternally grateful and indeed, some of the volunteers have been looking online at the D.R.Harris products.
On their Website, they also offer “Lockdown Care Packages“, where each set represents a small discount on buying the products separately and what’s more they will be donating 30% of the price of each package to your choice of one of three charities: Médecins Sans Frontières, NHS Charities or The Trussell Trust.
Thank you again to D R HARRIS We are incredibly grateful for their support.
