When it comes to well known British cycling routes, London to Brighton is up there with the best.
Its a scenic route that comes out of the Capital usually via South London, out into the countryside beyond and then off to the beautiful Sussex coast.
At 85km, its a long ride but much loved by many cyclists who return to it often.
Sutton Night Watch are extremely grateful to one of our volunteers, who has decided to ride the London – to – Brighton route on May 22nd, along with a friend, to raise money for us.
Speaking to Ashley just before he set off on a training ride, with friend Rammy he said.
“I am looking forward to this, as when I volunteered with Sutton Night Watch, I saw first hand the work that goes on behind the scenes. I am hopeful that both Rammy & I will be able to raise some awareness and some money for Sutton Night Watch, to support the volunteers and the centre. We are also planning another fundraising bike ride later in the year and are excited to see how this will help support all that the Night Watch does too”
Ashley and Rammy will be setting off from Sutton at 7.30am on the Morning of Saturday May 22nd and are expected to reach Brighton around 1pm.
We thank them from the bottom of our hearts, wishing them every success and of course GREAT WEATHER!
